I didn't really know where to put this. Also, can someone help me with where she is going to college? It says Rutgers Prep in Somerset? What's that? I don't think that's Rutgers University, coached by Stringer.

She earned a scholarship to Rutgers Prep, a high school (not college). Doubt she has decided on a college yet.

She scored 6 points in her first game and the coach was happy??? Um wow. If you are 6'11 in high school(boys or girls) you should be getting 20+ and 15+ EVERY NIGHT. Especially girls basketball.

I don't care. She is easily a foot taller than probably any girl she is playing against. Throw her the ball and have her lay it in, it is not a hard thing to do.

You can be 6' 11" and still be a project. I would say that we should wait a little while before blasting the young lady with all kinds of negative posts. She's probably a great kid who doesn't like all the press. As far as the disparaging comment about it being "girl's basketball"...if I'm not mistaken, the 6' 11" player is a girl also. Let's just let her play the game and have some fun.

wonder if she can get up and down the floor... the 6'9" girl @ MSU has trouble with that... but once she gets the ball on the block she can ball...

On a similar thread on the college basketball forum, I made the point that height can be a diminishing attribute for women w.r.t. basketball. Yeah she's tall and can rebound and no one can block her shot, assuming she can get up and down the court. Most guys that height don't have a lot of lateral movement ability, I wonder how little she does. I hope she does well and isn't exploited, and most of all that her health isn't in any danger.

^^THAT'S where I've seen her before! Her dad is like 6'5" or something. She has a sister who's realy tall too IIRC.
