Nancy Lanza had every damn right to own a means of protection against a home invasion. And, according to friends and family, that's the only reason she had those guns. He also was also self mutilating - that's more than shy and slightly depressed. The father is responsible for having ZERO influence on his kids life. And you're an idiot if you think it's safe to have that many gun accessible to a kid most likely on anti depressants and anti psychotic meds.

Hind sight is 20/20 - but if she needed help with the kid and she was getting almost 300k a year, she could've done more to get him the help he needed. How the fuck can you sympathize with him?

Not symathizing with the kid. Sympathizing with the mother. In hindsight, she shouldn't have had that many guns in the house. Maybe should have just had one in her bedroom, locked in a combination safe. The fact that she did, though, does not make her a monster or even responsible for the murders. In that caae, lets condemn your family and strip them of everything l for not getting you help for a drinking problem. Its their fault you could have potentially killed someone. Its their fault you were arrested for driving drunk.

If I actually had a known "drinking problem" meaning I was a diagnosed alcoholic and my family knew it and also knew I routinely drove while intoxicated and then actually did kill someone & myself, I'm sure some attorney would try to take everything I had and possibly any inheritance I'd left for my kids.

But since none of your fantasy ever happened but Lanza's did exactly as I described, any judge in the land would agree with me when I say GFYAH.

You were arrested for drinking and driving. That proves its a problem for you. We are just lucky that in your case, the law was able to intervene first. No thanks to your family though. Your family should all be sued. Every last one of them.

This is beyond dumb...even for you. Yes I was arrested for drinking & driving (but since the vehicle was not moving at the time of the arrest...legally parked actually with me behind the wheel) my attorney correctly argued I was not "driving" and thus avoided the DUI conviction.

But the real crux of your post being beyond retarded is that it has absolutely zero correlation to the Lanza's situation.

These legal experts that appear on shows on channels such as HLN could win Emmys on Boston Legal for all of their ostentation. Unfortunately most of the children's families are wealthy too and they may decide just to collect death benefits and try to survive their grief. That's not what the owners of "My Place" nor her family have said at all. They said she might have had one or two glasses of wine a couple of times a week -- at least with regard to at the bar -- but that most nights she simply stopped in for takeout food for her and Adam. The owners made it clear that she was a responsible mother and not a partying drunk.

Your logic is not good, let's put it that way. No judge would EVER reward the victims with Ryan Lanza's bank account. And, quite frankly, none of the victims would want it. They know who was responsible. Adam Lanza. In fact, one of the fathers of the children who were murdered said on Piers Morgan Tonight yesterday evening that he doesn't blame the father or the brother at all, and that they are going through the same grieving process that he is. He said his heart is with them, just as it is with the families of the other 26 victims. You are dead wrong.
