Is there any defense better than Ohio State in college football?

Simple, no there is not.

Wish that were the case, but they will need to improve quite a bit to be one of the top defenses.

They won't give up more than 7 ppg next year. Book it!

Sometimes sleeper is a good contributor to and creator of OSU related threads.

This is not one of those times.

We need LB's...a lot of 'em.

If Roby were at LB, he'd easily be the best LB in the nation of the world.

His name is Ryan Shazier. He was the best LB in the country last year and no doubt he'll be the best this year as well.

You need more than one.

And due to the fact that our fucking FULLBACK had to step in and play linebacker leads me to believe that we aren't that well stocked at that position. I'm hoping I'm wrong.

Is Sabino ever going to pan out?

What a stud is Boren though to switch to linebacker and the defense magically gets better. (not great, but much much better)

Sabino is done. His OSU career was rather underwhelming.

I agree. I was thinking wtf!? when the move was made, but he made plays. He's better than Klein, which tells you how shitty he was.

I felt the communication in the secondary also got better as the season went on. The blown coverage early on happened way too often.

OSU definitely needs 2 LB's to step up, and the safeties/star need to learn how to wrap and tackle. Love how hard Christian Bryant plays, but he's always looking for that big hit, and rarely wraps up to make a tackle.

I know I'm prolly in the minority here, but I'm not sad about Howard being gone. Not only was he guilty of this, he has hands of stone, and seemed to be victimized by big plays (getting beat deep) all year long.

I'm pretty sure a lot of people are happy to see Howard gone.

A lot of people hate on Howard, but he led the team in ints and didnt give up a TD in coverage all year, so I cant complain too much.

Hate's a strong word, and I'll have to admit that last stat you gave does surprise me...it seemed as if he was constantly getting beat deep. Maybe he bent but didn't break?

I think the defense as a whole could be described as that. Excluding a few bad games (IU, Cal, and Nebraska).

I was not a fan of Howard.

The D has question marks but the O should be unstoppable. I bet it averages 40+ pts a game. 12-0 seems to be a sure thing next season with a chance to beat mich 2 weeks in a row (B1G championship game and end of season).

If the young D line comes of age quickly, you might as well get your tickets for the NC game.
