Why does it have to be televised on about a dozen different channels at once?

More channels, more awareness, more money raised I'd assume is the thinking.

The federal gubmit will give them all the money the need, anyway.

Might as well just re-task all benefit concerts for the US Govt...besides, that's who really needs the money.

Serious question; Why is Springsteen, Eddie Veder, etc trying to raise private funds for relief when their MO is that the government should pay for everything for all of society?

Billy Joel does two of his more famous songs, one talking about walking in a "river so deep" and another talking about how only good people die young. I'm sure that doesn't make Sandy victims feel uncomfortable at all...

Did Kanye realize they were trying to get people to send in money to support the victims, not get people to hope another hurricane would strike?

And I guess I'm getting old, but "shit", "fuck", and "******" have no place in a charity concert.

Because that's worse than showing pictures peoples devastated lives and homes? Give me a break.

Also - Billy Crystal sucks, he's not funny, never was funny, he sucks. Drunk uncle was moronic and only made people forget how shitty Kanye is at life and Bruce Sprinstein had a massive hard on during his set.

Yeah, because showing peoples homes that are devastated won't help drive the idea home that the charity is needed....

you're missing the point - showing mass devastation is a lot worse than hearing a curse or two.

You're missing the point. The CHARITY concert was for the MASS DEVASTATION. I don't think NIGGUR, SH!T, and F&CK have a place in a CHARITY concert.

I'm holding off sending any Belly Charitable Funds BCF money ... Sorry but if I am going to pay higher taxes then I'm going to have to cut my entitlement charitable fund. If the government is taking care of this situation then I will save my contribution for some other crisis. Obama stated that he will cut the tape and provide support, if the government is the fix all ..have at it&#8230; mofo:D</SPAN>

It's the fact he knows the cause and knows the event is a charity event and still goes out and says it.

I love my cuss words but I don't use them at public events or in front of my players. It's a respect and maturity thing. Kanye thinks he's above all of that. He starts off singing about his girl being an amateur porn star and it only got worse. After his Katrina bullshit I couldn't believe he was even asked to perform.

Love him or hate him, Kanye is huge right now.

That being said, his live performances are absolute shite.

 Sir Paul played 'Live and Let Die'. Oh my how offensive to the victims that must be. 'Hurricane Sandy destroyed our homes and businesses.' Oh well, Live and Let Die.
