So I just ordered an old school “crocodile dentist” game on ebay for my 2 ½ year old daughter… researched the more recent versions and basically they are crap and you are better off ordering the early 90’s version on ebay, so I did.

My daughter really seems to like suspense (like jumping out and scaring her when playing hide and seek, etc.), so I’m sure she will love playing…For those that don’t know, it’s a plastic alligator, and players take turns pushing the teeth down (or pulling the teeth in an older version of the game), and one of the teeth is set to snap the jaws shut, so you are trying to not choose the bad tooth. Kind of like a Russian roulette style game.


Are there any other similar games out there with the same basic concept?

My quick research during lunch led me to a game with a dog where you have to take bones out of his bowl without waking him up, and another game with a horse that you try not to startle when putting a bunch of crap on his back.


Any others with kids have any other ideas, or anyone had games growing up with a similar concept?

Or, any other good games in general for 2-3 year olds that you would recommend?

A couple years from now or so, you'll have to give her Operation. That game freaked me out as a little kid. Especially with the ones like "funny bone", I think, where you have such a small area to work the forceps in, that I ALWAYS got the buzz sound.
