Just curbing peoples expectations. I think they're a year away from being contenders if they stop losing to teams they should beat and start beating higher caliber teams more consistently. Their best win is over the Giants, not saying much.

What do they need to do in the off season to get them over the hump?

How about we save this till after the season. If you haven't noticed we are in the middle of a.playoff race.

This did get me wondering about what they would do with the draft. I know they drafted Kirkpatrick in the first round last year, but Pacman, Newman, and Clements are getting up there in age.

I'd like to get someone like Montee Ball in the late 2nd or 3rd. Definitely a backup QB. They definitely could use another CB, LB, OG.

The best they can do is 3-3 in their own division. I think they'll end the season 9-7 and I don't see them beating out the Steelers or the Colts. You need to win games against the high caliber teams to make the playoffs, they've done it once all season. Don't get your hopes up.

I wouldn't downplay beating the Giants. Regardless of how you feel about them, they are the defending Super Bowl champions and have beaten the Pats twice in the big game.

Any team with AJ Feely at wide receiver has a chance at doing something big.

They're 7-5, regardless of how they play in the post season, it's not saying much to beat them in the regular season. They're the only team they've beaten with a winning record, to think they'll make the playoffs is a pipe dream.

They didn't beat a team with a winning record last year and made the playoffs. Not really a pipe dream.

Solid contenders right there. If the Patriots don't get the bye i can only hope to play such a cake first round.

they need to find some on the field leaders...someone to step up and put a face to the offense and defense. a player who takes the responsibilty if it goes right or it goes wrong. most good teams have this on both sides. bengals dont have it on either.

I'd definitely say they need a stud on Def. Dalton needs to be a little more consistent, only 3 games this year w/o an INT.

Might not fit in with his personality. For years everyone wanted to tell Eli how he should act in NY and it seems like he doesn't have any trouble being a leader on his terms.

Just a bump - AJ Green's dropped passes cost them the game.
