His injury robbed him of what would have been an amazing career ..... and all sports fans the opportunity to witness it! The "Bo Knows" thing was huge in the early/ mid 90's when I was in high school.
Wont miss this one!

Never rushed for over 1000 yards, never hit for over .280 and only had one season with 30+ HR, 100+ RBI. He was talented, but may be one of the most overrated, over-hyped athletes of all time.

Well aside from the fact that he played two sports well. I'm not making light of that accomplishment. He was just "good" at both sports, not great.

Ok....another view.
In baseball he only got to play at full strength/health thru age 27...and he never played over 135 games.
In 1988 he was just 25 and was 25 HR 27 SB in 122 games....in 1989 he missed an entire month and was still 4th in the AL in HR (35) and RBI (102)
Only 1800 AB before his devastating football injury.....literally injured right at his prime was starting.
In football...lol he only played 4 seasons and his game total those years.... 7, 10, 11, 10 He didn't usually start playing until November and his career average per carry....5.4!.....mixed with the fact he had some other guy named Marcus Allen getting some carries.
Bo was the greatest combination of speed and power in sports.

I wonder with medical advancements now if he could have had a chance to play again if it happened today. at least baseball

I don't know buy thinking about him on legal supplements like everyone is on and the advances in training or even on steroids...lol scary.
The guy was physical freak. Just looking at his size and that insane run against the Seahawks....it didn't even look real how fast he was running.

Being "good"but in two sports in HS...not special.....being "good"but in two sports in college....very cool... being what you call "good"but in two professional sports at the same time... is being one of the greatest.

Brian Jordan was good....Deion as a combo was a touch better than good (football amazing, baseball borderline starter)
Bo was an all-star at both....without ever reaching his prime or playing a full season for the stats to boggle.

Nah I was thinking Bo was tonight. Was really confused when after the college football awards the guide showed 9.79 airing and then Broke started instead.
