I now have to limit my weekend breakfast to hot cereal. It seems that 2 eggs over easy, gravy and biscuit, corn beef hash and home fried is a too much.
I have been trying out different hot cereals on the weekends. I know it not a traditional hot cereal but Grape Nut and warm milk is good (only if you eat it before the cereal gets mushy).
I like so far Cream of Wheat w/ butter, brown sugar and cinnamon. I’m sure the butter, brown sugar is not what the doctor would like to see but it that or back to the standard breakfast feast.
I have explained to the wife and doctor you have to move slowly in some area and changing diet is one of those areas.
What is your favorite hot cereal?

Haven't had Cream of Wheat in a long time but I remember it being gross. I like oatmeal but I don't eat it often. If I'm eating a hot breakfast it's going include at least one of bacon, eggs, waffles, pancakes, sausage.

Cream of Wheat an Oatmeal are both excellent choices. I don't like to add sugar, however. I'm not a sweats guy.
I might offer the cereal Grape Nuts when warmed and saturated to softness. Great as part of a morning winter breakfast.
