It's like $500 million. One time payout is like $350 million before taxes.

If you were handed a check for $150+ million dollars, what would you do?

House with a sweet basement, doesn't need to be a huge house but i'd want an awesome mancave/basement area.

Oh and one of these...

Buy some land out in the country and build a nice million or so dollar custom home. Add some barns, fencing, and some cattle. I'd probably raise some hogs and chickens as well. Try to be as self sustainable as possible even though I'm filthy rich.

I'd spend 2013 attending every single Reds game. On off days I'd travel to parks I've never been to that the Reds aren't playing in and try to hit every park in the country at least once.

Setup up my mom and her boyfriend with enough money to retire and relax for the rest of their lives. They are still relatively young (51 and 40-something) so they'd have plenty of time to enjoy themselves. They are country folk so it doesn't take much to make them happy.

Setup my in-laws with some cash. They are already either retired or within a few months of retiring and are sitting pretty comfortably. I'd just pad their stash to allow them to do a bit more in retirement.

I'd set up a trust for my niece and nephew, as well as for one of my friends two kids.

I'd set aside $20-30mil or so in an account that I'd use for charitable gifts. Donate so much each year while continuing to let the account grow.

That leaves me with probably $100 million leftover. I'd give that money to DeyDurkie for his help pointing out adsense violations in the basement.

- Fix up my house and my rental to be like brand new.
- Live in our house while we patiently plan EXACTLY what we want in a new home.
- Buy land and build house
- Like RDI said, build a sweet man cave
- Like Justin said, build some barns, but get horses instead, for my daughters... and whores for me.
- Give each immediate family member $1,000,000, and inform them to not ask for any money again.
- Probably give parents a little more than the $1,000,000.
- Invest in some property in an up and coming tropical market and build a nice home.
- Set up trust funds for my children, but make them pay their own way through college.
* I wouldn't let them know about the fund, but would pay off their debt upon graduation... GRADUATION.
- Travel the world, and let my wife see everything she wants to see, and me do whoever I want to do. I mean whatever I want to do.

How many tickets does everyone have? I bought 2 last night. Know that my chances of doing ANYTHING on earth are better than winning, but I bought 2 anyway.

@ETB - I agree about giving out money and saying never ask again. I would not tell anyone I won until the money was in my account.

Bought $10 worth. Won't win but at least I wanted to get into the batter's box and swing versus watching strike three go by with the bat on my shoulder.

I'd probably fix up my parents house and pad their retirement accounts. The house isn't that old, but it needs fixing up. New kitchen, new interior paint, hardwood floors, replace old furnaces, and then landscaping outside. Maybe even a new patio in the back. I'm sure it would be a lot easier for my parents to move, but they don't want to and the house is almost paid off.

I'd buy myself a small-ish house in the city (Chicago). 2-3 bedroom, 2 bath. Probably cost me $1m anyway haha. Has to have a garage, so that I can park my Audi R8:cool:.

Then probably invest the rest. Set up a trust for my family, donate some to charity or my home town school district. Work part time for my friend's business and enjoy life.

With that much money I'd also find out how much it would cost to name the UMaine hockey arena after me.

I'll buy a couple, at least, on my way to the office.

The first thing I'd do is pay off my student loans.

This. I don't think I could NOT work. I'd probably find some way to volunteer at the school, doing something. Wouldn't let them walk all over me, though, like they do with most volunteers. I'd already have one foot out the door!

did you buy the $2.00 ticket or did you pay the extra $1.00 for the power play?

Power Play® is a special feature that allows a winner to increase the original prize amount. Powerball players winning any prize other than the jackpot will win a larger cash prize. The Match 5+0 prize with Power Play option is now worth $2,000,000. Note that any set prizes or Power Play prizes, including the Match 5+0 prize, may be reduced if wins exceed the available prize fund. The Power Play option costs $1 and must be selected when you buy your Powerball ticket.

No. If I win $425 mill, I won't need an extra million.

To change, and steal a line from Married with Children...

Peg "Al, what would you do with 150 million dollars? 150 million trips to the nudie bar?"
Al "No peg. Just one gooood one".

I would buy some places up at Lake James in indiana in the Glen Eyre beach section.
