Every year I get ammo in my stocking (Nothing says Christmas like Ammo) family joke  sometime the family will also buy me something else I need for shooting and or a new weapon.

I buy my grandkids toy guns with the understandings someday a CO2 weapon and or a real gun under the tree someday. I have gotten my one daughter a knife, chemical spray for protection in Chicago (she been carrying a small pocket knife for years) but this one knife is a little more effective.

Do you or your family give or get weapons or hunting gear for Christmas?

Some people actually enjoy guns for the sport, as well as hunting and protection.

lol at protection. I'm sure Belly has really needs the guns in no where's ville Ohio. /sarcasm

You need a weapon to protect yourself in your own home, you need to move out of the shithole neighborhood you live in.

Only rednecks think they NEED guns for protection.

First thing is I enjoy shooting and enjoy the training for the USPSA and IDPA competition.
Second thing, I’m 63 years old and can still crush your chest like a spoon, put a major hurt on some and hold my own still. But at my age I don’t have the time to be fucking around with assholes. I’m not worried about myself but our house are protected by the good Lord and a gun
and you might meet 'em both if you show up here not welcome son :D

What to screw with the old guy with a patch, be prepared for the worse.

Redneck I love that …. Is that racist

Not screwing with you, just telling that needing a gun for protection is dumb. You're statistically more likely to accidentally shoot your kid than you are to stop a burglary.
Also Belly doesn't need a gun to kick some ass, we all know that.

Yeah I've never heard of more horror stories of some kid shooting his own face off because his dad thought they needed a gun in the house for protection. lolfail.

Statistically you're more likely to accidentally shoot a family member than you are to "protect" your house from the boogie man.

"Guns are good because they provide the ultimate self-defense? While I’m sure some people believe that having a gun at their bedside will make them safer, they are wrong. This is not my opinion, and it’s not a political or controversial statement. It is a fact. Guns kept in the home for self-protection are 43 times more likely to kill a family member, friend or acquaintance than to kill an intruder, according to a study published in the New England Journal of Medicine. Guns on the street make us less safe. For every justifiable handgun homicide, there are more than 50 handgun murders, according to the FBI. The expanding right to carry concealed guns make us even less safe."

That's not even arguable.

This isn't an anti-gun thread. You want one, start one.

Good point, I apologize.

To answer the thread, I was given a buck knife for Christmas when I was 7. Don't know what happened to it.

My grandpa used to give me knives for christmas. I have a bunch of knives I never use but I still cherish them because he gave them to me.

We always try and do some type of Hunting/Fishing gift for their Birthday or Christmas
