Whether you rooted for him, or against him. Thought he was a good QB or a bad QB. Denard Robinson has provided college football with a lot of excitement the last 3 years. And best of all, he's been a great representative of the University of Michigan.
BTN did a nice piece on the Iowa game, focusing on Denard and senior day. This is a really nice video. I don't know if it's something they regularly do...I don't watch BTN much outside of the games. But it reminded me of something NFL Films used to do.
Enjoy.

He does have a win over Ohio State and a BCS bowl win. That's more than most Michigan players as of late have accomplished.

The Journey is BTN's best program. Though I don't think Robinson is a great QB, he is definitely an exciting football player.

Other than lousy taste in colleges, he seems like a pretty good guy.

Denard has been a stud.
I haven't really followed. What is his injury and what are the chances he will play QB this weekend?

As a Buckeye fan, I have much respect for Denard and his unique skill set. He was a big part of Michigan's return to relevance, and college football is simply better when Michigan is winning (except for its final regular season game, of course).
Where would Denard rank among Big 10 QBs since, say, 2000? I would have him somewhere behind Troy Smith and maybe even behind Russell Wilson (despite his short tenure), but ahead of Terrell Pryor (slightly, only because I am still pissed at Pryor), Kyle Orton, Chad Henne, Craig Krenzel and Kirk Cousins.

Ulnar nerve in his elbow that doesn't allow him to grip the football very well. He probably won't play much QB this weekend, but I am sure Borges has lots of ways to get him involved. The emergence of Devin at QB and DR playing different positions at Iowa was perfect timing for the OSU game. Gives OSU a lot to try and plan for. Fitz getting hurt took a little away from that, but I still think they'll have some tricks up their sleeves.

That's a tough question. Looking back, Denard's stats will put him up there with the elite B1G QBs. But anyone who watched him play will probably agree he wasn't a great QB, but rather a great athlete playing the QB position.BigAppleBuckeye;1326540 wrote:As a Buckeye fan, I have much respect for Denard and his unique skill set. I think as time goes on youll see more good athletes playng QB like a Pryor or Miller or DR. Were/are any of them great? no way but very good athletes who could have the ball in their hands every play.WebFire;1326542 wrote:That's a tough question. I liked the shot of him in the stands with the students. Puts some perspective into the college game.

Seems like a good guy, he's a helluva athlete, and I agree that he represents tsun well...I just hope we don't see the back of his jersey too much on Saturday.

For some reason, the video is now private. I saw where tonight's The Journey is about DR's and Monte Balls senior days. Maybe someone wasn't supposed to let it out?

Definitely fun to watch (except when he was killing ND two years in a row) and seemed like a classy and humble kid from the interviews that I have seen with him.

Just to provide some prospective:
Denard is currently ranked 4th in rushing yards for all-time UM:
needs 119 yds to pass Jamie Morris (for 3rd)
needs 199 to pass "the A-Train" (for 2nd)
Denard is currently ranked 4th in passing yards for all-time UM:
needs 210 yards to pass Grbac. (for 3rd)
All this from a guy who played just less than three full years (starting).
I would say that UM has had better rushers, and better QB's, but his combination records will not be bypassed for a long-long time.
Pretty special for a kid that "can't throw the ball, and who is small and easily injured" (As many of his detractors have stated)

Hoke ruined him IMO. Very unimpressed with him against good teams in his career, had huge games against the likes of Ball State and Bowling Green. Overrated

Denard is another dime a dozen exceptional athletic qb who can't throw the ball.
