Yes.

They owe us protection while maintaining our liberty & freedom.

Do they owe us more than that?

No.

Do they owe businesses who are going bankrupt anything (IE Bailout?)

No.

Why do the Republicans & Democrats think the government owes us so many things?

Emphasis on welfare. They're doing a bang-up job of leaving no other option for people.

I think if you really take a look at it you'll see liberal policies destroying it faster. It's a global trend, but can't say I blame you for wanting to hit the wall quicker with the Dems. Just get it over with.

I am sure you think that. But you tell people its raining when its really Republican administration urinating on their heads.
Blaming it on global trends gives a free pass to Republican administrations whose policies are the main reason for our growing stratification. Their tax cuts favoring the rich, their deregulation favoring corporations over the workers, their lack of support for government funding for post secondary education undercutting efforts for social mobility.

So how long does BO need to be in office to quit blaming it on Republicans?

what about that, what about that, you are funny guy. he was using those funds to alleviate suffering, defend against terrorism and turn the economy around, all worthy goals. And with a republican house through part of that time that was only interested in protecting the rich and corporations.

it says something about the contributors to this site that defense of the person and policies of a President elect by the majority of Americans voting in the 2012 election would be considered trolling.

To do what they're charged with by the constituion, and equally important, to do nothing else.

The ship has kind of sailed on that simple concept, I'm afraid.

What about the Democrat-controlled House during the entire Reagan and Bush41 presidencies, and the three decades prior to that? Does that count?

Fulfilling this is all the government owes me:

Congress
  • I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter: So help me God.
