Who determined what weights these kids would be at? I'm a little surprised at some of them, and how many pounds over can you be?

I believe wrestlers make scratch plus five.

Who is Carson Mills at 106 from Fredericktown? I do not know who he is and I see he was not listed on Fredericktown's roster at last year's sectional tournament?

Is the mcdougle thing a typo or are they flip flopping weights

How do they rank the wrestlers? I don't see how Hayden Fath got seeded higher than Sean Black?
Black lost in OT in the sectional final while Fath took 6th. Black than took 4th in the TOC and 2nd in Ourway this past season.

Westland Sectional Results:
1st Schulz def Black 9-7 ot
3rd Neely def Wahl 3:35
5th Park def Fath 8-6

If Black hadn't pinned Park when he did he would have TF'd him.
This ranking doesn't make sense.

There are a couple of teams that dont participate in this. I dont remember who and Im not sure of their reasoning? Maybe WJ is one? Im glad Darby participates!

SD...I agree about Black not being top 3. I think he deserves to be 2nd but i dont get a vote. He had Strope flat on his back at Districts last yr to go along with a 2-2 district record. He was injured mid season so maybe they didnt think he had enough wins???? Head scratcher indeed!

Yes I believe that is still the format.

Gennar got banged up playing soccer. Got the approval from doc on thurday to start back. He is excited to be able to watch some of his friends. Good luck West Jeff.

He was deemed academically ineligible the week of sectionals. Would have been the #1 seed at Madison Plains sectional and he won both matches he wrestled against Adkins from Northridge last season, so that got him coaches vote for the alternate spot.

I think Williams vs Ryan @ 145...and Boyd vs ratcliff @ 160 are 2 good ones.

State Runner-up v. 3rd in the state... that's pretty legit! And Gusan is not afraid to try anything. At an open mat, I once saw him swing on a hanging rope and try to body splash someone. It was intense! How many heavyweights do you know who are attempting a fireman's carry!?!?!?

Studs for sure, but on the 20th, it'll be 3 minutes for sure....unless you meant both matches.

As pointed out, the All-Star matches are 1-1-1, so you still better lace'm up tight, but ready for three minutes of war instead of six!

If I recall correctly, No overtime for a preview either. Had a tie last year.

Totally agree that the Heavyweight match up should be the match of the night.

What kind of Photos are you looking for on the site?

No overtime is correct. We've had a few matches end in a tie, a la 49ers/Rams.

I plan to take as many pictures as possible the night of the All-Star Meet. I also would like to video tape the matches like last year. I guess any picture will do. The clearer the better. Usually need a good zoom or a matside seat for those though. I'll try to talk to someone... see if I can't get down on the floor!
