In high school the most popular guy is usually a douche so this seems about right.

I agree with one of his points, The Hoodie is one of if not the best coach in the NFL. But Belichick has multiple Super Bowl appearances and victories to justify his position. Rex Ryan does have those 2 first successful years, but after that... not so much.

I question the popular statement too. He's an asshole and so is his brother as was his Dad.

He's popular because he is a player's coach...... When a coach tries to be the players best friend instead of the leader and disciplinary the players tend to make bad choices, get away with a lot, and not perform their best. Just like parents who try to be their kids best friend instead of a parent.

I've always questioned that old opinion that "...being a player's coach" means you are "like one of the guys". BS. True players coaches are the Woody Hayes, Vince Lombardis, Chuck Nolls, Don Shulas, Bo Schembechlers...etc etc that were absolute no-nonsense ball busters when players were playing for them and sometimes the players "hated" these guys. Then when they finally left the game they realized those type coaches were winners first and were preparing them for life beyond football. Guys like Rex Ryan are poseurs to what those kind of men stood for and they should be run out of football before its completely ruined (and its on its way...)

The NFL and its fan base are still light years away from turning into the NGBA*

*National Gangbangers Association - 47% of NBA players have been charged with felony level crimes. Only 18% of NFL players have.
