I use Amazon Wish List. It's always available; and when it's time, I just go in, remove things I've gotten, and can add things I want any time of year. It also allows me to specify brand names, models, etc., instead of just saying "DVD player" or "Cordless drill".

My parents, sister-in-law, and future mother-in-law have been asking for mine, so I updated mine last Friday.
