Ehh, I'd guess user error. But I'm dubious of the idea that a machine couldn't be programmed to swap 1 out of 20 votes or whatever.
But what strikes me as comical is what a huge, huge issue this would be if Obama votes were allegedly defaulting to a Romney choice. I bet the Dems are literally crying they didn't think of this first.

Just about any touch-screen device can have calibration issues. You press here and the screen thinks you pressed over there. That's why it's always best to double and triple-check before you press "Cast Ballot".

Still, I'd bet a huge number of people (perhaps as many as half, possibly more) don't check their ballot.

I shouldn't have to. The government is already providing me with housing, food, transportation, internet, a cell phone, etc. They should check my ballot for me.
