Fox had a right-wing preacher looney on last night.

But it brought up an interesting question. Gay marriage and abortion are something many black religious people care about, yet they support the Dems. But those are just two issues "the Dems have done so much more"? Really? Poverty is better thanks to Dems? Employment is better thanks to Dems?

When 95% of a demographic are going to vote for one party or candidate, something more than issues is driving that. I'm not saying it's race-baiting, and I don't think that could explain it. But there's almost a coercion, a brainwashing even, that goes on in the community.

Otherwise how else can you explain 95% choosing one party? You got two choices, and a lot of people say there's no difference between the parties. Clearly on voting there is group-think or a lack of individualism. The Jewish bloc is the only other demographic barely over 70%.

Is it even possible for a conservative leader to emerge in the black community at this point? Or let's be more realistic - is it even possible for a leader to emerge that doesn't promote the victim and entitlement mentality?

And part of the problem is any time someone even suggests self-reliance or something along those lines, the liberal media unleashes their typical right-wing demonization and attacks, particularly if they perceive that person as one of their own. The liberal media has no tolerance for someone that doesn't toe the party line of victimization and entitlement.

Anyway, I suspect the core of Obama's support is that, quietly, everyone knows he's been a failure. That's simply unacceptable, and just as unacceptable to liberals as everyone else. The difference is it is critical for liberals that he have 4 more years to turn his record around. That's what no one will admit, but it's pretty clear the main reason many are voting for Obama is not because they are tolerating his failure, but rather they can't stomach him going down as a failure.

This is so true. FDR needed 12 years and a massive World War to cement his place in history. After 4 or 8 years he would've been labeled a failure.

As for the original post, this proves once again that racism is not a one-way street.
