Who is participating? I will be for the first time. Last Year I had one of my best friends diagnosed with testicular cancer. Since Movember helps fight prostate and testicular cancer my friends and I have all decided to join the movement. Lets post our best staches and beards.

If football players at all levels are wearing pink in recognition of breast cancer awareness, do you suppose we can convince women's groups to wear blue for Blue Balls Month? ;)

And no, I will not be participating because you know what helps fight Prostrate cancer? A steady job making good money with stable insurance. I can scruff it up a bit, but if a client comes to town and I'm sporting a beard I'll end up working at my McDonald's full time.

JFK participated in no-shave November once, but only made it 22 days.

From my experience last year you created the awareness in order to get people to donate.

People would ask my why the fuck do I look like a pedophile (I later graduated to police chief) and I would tell them about movemeber, and they normally would donate to the cause. I raised over $200 last year from non family members.

With that being said, I will be unable to do it this year. There are a few work related meetings this month where looking like a pedophile will not look good at all in front of some particular people. I also think I need another year or so for my stache to come in thicker. Advice to any of the single guys trying this out for the first time: don't expect any girls to find interest in you this month.

Anyway I still will donate to the cause. Not sure if any of my friends are doing it, so if they aren't I will donate to the best stache on OC!

This is actually not true. A lot of girls like facial hair. One of my close friends just posted this:

"Dear public diary, it's my favorite time of the year! MOvember! And it's only the 1st, stay tuned this could get juicy... Yours truly, tall enough to ride"
