What are your experience involving a storm?

I have a few stories about storms but the winter of 1978 Perrysburg Oh was one of the worse but we made it fun and a memorable time.
We had lost power, phone lines and the gas lines in the area got water in them and froze at the meters so we had no heat early in the storm. We had some food, running cold water (we still boiled what we used to drink), propane grill and a working fireplace. The next morning our home was covered with snow and freezing temps. I open the garage door, a faced with a wall of snow, I dug out a little so we could cook in the garage with the grill. The roads where still covered, not expected to be plowed for a few days. Police/ Firemen on snowmobile can around to check on people. Mentioning that Kasmier Grocery Store was open and selling every thing because of no power. Problem was getting there. I bundled up, tied our Golden Retriever to a sled and off we hiked one mile to Kasmiers. Very challenging but in a way fun also. I bought quite a bit, what I could not get in the back pack, Yantz (the dog) pulled on the sled. The wife and I built a tent in the family room in front of the fire place that was fun. We made the best out of a bad situation. She was pregnant the following month

Sophomore year at Ohio U, a blizzard was bad enough they actually cancelled class for a few days. My friends and I were still underclassmen living in the dorms, but we had a cool R.A., who didn't really care about little things like us "sneaking" in many, many cases of beer and holding a huge multi-day party. It was a good time. Due to it being illegal to drive because of a L3 snow deal, no one was on the road, the one day we took off to hang out at Hocking Hills.

Happened to me a couple times (I think) Must have been a blast, cause I can't remember a thing.

I barely remember the blizzard of 78. I was 5 years old. I do remember being able to climb a snow drift and get on the roof of the garage and sliding down the other side. My cousin dug a bunch of tunnels in the snow and I thought that was awesome.

So you were cool with breaking the law by drinking underage, but it being illegal to drive on the road stopped you from driving?
