Anyone picking this game up? I've never played an AC game in the past but this one looks pretty sweet, set during the Revolutionary War. I won't buy it for myself but I do plan on asking for it for Christmas.

Could probably pick up 1 on the cheap and see if you like the game play before dropping 60 on it.

AC 1 sucked ass. Terrible.
AC 2 on have been fine, I played 2 on the cheap, but every one since then has been the same. I lost interest, but I agree, it does look cool.

Also, I haven't bought a video game since, I think, the God of War collection when it came to ps3.

I liked AC1, but didn't like AC2 or any of the others...
However, AC3 looks incredible and is said to be the game the developers always wanted an AC game to be. It's been winning awards like crazy and it's my favorite time period... I'm definitely picking it up.

How long does the story mode usually take to complete on these games? I'm not much of a multiplayer guy so I'd likely just play until I beat the story and then sell it.

Kid likes these games, but we are going to pass on this one for now. We are getting Hitman Absolution in a few weeks instead.

I would guess its pretty expanse as there isn't a multiplayer mode taking up space.justincredible;1302134 wrote:How long does the story mode usually take to complete on these games? I'm not much of a multiplayer guy so I'd likely just play until I beat the story and then sell it.

I bought it the other day. Had been waiting months for it. I've played about two hours or so and my biggest complaint (which IGN echoed) is how slow it starts out. Your hands are tied for a while by the game making you go do this without many other choices. But the other ones started out slow too, if I recall. Once you get past all of that, though, is when it is suppose to be at its best.
