In OU"s defense they only lost a 5 point game to K State and waxed Texas Tech and Texas.

Like it matters? If Oklahoma beats nd they will shoot up the polls either way. And if they lose they will drop

AP poll is essentially meaningless once the BCS comes out anyway

Exactly Oklahoma is a very good team as a nd fan I'm not feeling too good about this week.

Agreed and even if Ohio st goes undefeated they won't get the ap title. No way do I see the ap voters giving it to them mainly because of the sanctions

I'd agree with that. However, I'd still love to see OSU go undefeated so the media hype about "what if" would ensue.

Bring on 2013.

Ohio State absolutely has a shot at the AP title. What a joke to say otherwise.

No they don't. Ohio st hasn't blown every one out and are not a top 5 team in the country. If an undefeated team wins the title there's no way possible the ap would vote Ohio st ahead.

All that would happen is that they'd say "well it's too bad Ohio State didn't get to go to a BCS bowl and get exposed 63-21 by ______."

I would have to agree. I honestly think they could put up 70 on OSU's defense, and OU's defense has improved.

Probably.

Ohio State has Braxton Miller and Urban Meyer...and that's about it.

Hence they've found a way to be 8-0 after last year's debacle. If Ohio State played anyone in the Top 15 right now they would lose probably embarrassingly so. In fact I have a hunch they'll play in Beaver Stadium this weekend and struggle to beat a depleted Penn State team that's actually starting to look pretty decent.

No way the Buckeyes should even be in the Top 10 of the worthless AP poll.

If they were eligible for post season play they'd be ranked high enough right now for BCS contention, but that's only because they are Ohio State and the rest of the B1G is a flat out joke.

Nice qualifier. Before it was "Ohio State won't get the AP title" and now its "If an undefeated team wins the title, there's no..etc". Nice backtracking. LOL

Not back tracking I'm just saying its basically impossible. Even a 1 loss bama or Florida etc i don't see Ohio st jumping them. I say it's impossible because of the sanctions, no voter is going to give them the ap title because of it

That's about it? Man, all that 4 and 5 star talent must have transferred.

Look, Ohio State is building one of the best teams in the country and are 8-0 doing it in a new system with a new head coach. Add in the fact they aren't playing for anything and you have a deadly team coming in next year. Hell, if Notre Dame and Ohio State played right now, Ohio State would BLOW THE FUCK OUT of ND so bad that even BK would tell the cameraman to stop filming and get off the rafter.

Stop crying about bad the B1G is. It's still a top 5 conference; they can't help the SEC has 25 teams and no academic standards.

Oh, you vote in the AP?

The AP will do whatever it takes to stay relevant. Saying its impossible just shows your true agenda.
