We all have a variety of standard meals we enjoy. What is that one “Comfort Meal” that is always there when you want to just sit down, relaxed and enjoy. That one meal that takes away the tension of the day, you enjoy the most and down home comfort meal?</SPAN>

Belly: Fried Pork Chops, fried (home fries) potatoes w/ skins on and onions, homemade apple sauce and hot Italian bread. </SPAN>

This is a meal my mom made once or twice a month when I was a kid, with two iron skillet she could make this in minutes, it was hot, good, filling within 20 minutes on the table ready to eat. She showed me before she passed away her secret to preparing this meal. </SPAN>

So what is your comfort meal and why? </SPAN>

Hopefully you don't eat it too quickly.

I wish I had one.

I typically eat food, whatever is available and easy to make. A go-to is typically cheddarwursts and [Kraft] mac 'n' cheese.

Beef pot roast with potatoes and then beef and noodles with the leftover meat. Two of my all time favorites.

I eat to enjoy food not to just fill my gullet and take advantage of someone hospitality. Not everyone has the mentality of a Neanderthal :D</SPAN>

Once again assuming that your way of enjoying food is the only way.

Best answer is beer. Because it's beer.

If it the answer must be food, I guess digiorno's frozen pizza. Simple yet so good.

Grew up eating my mom's risotto (my relatives in Italy would mail her the saffron every few weeks), so almost every time I go to her house she makes that for me and its AWESOME. My German grandma also taught me an awesome pot roast recipe (with spaetzle) that I cook from time to time in my slow cooker.

Growing up it was definitely pot roast with carrots, potatoes, and onions.

Not sure that I really have one now.

Yes, its a basic noodle made with flour, water, egg and a little salt. I tried it with butter, cheese and onions when I was in Munich for Oktoberfest, but grandma always kept it basic with homemade gravy (which braised for hours with the pot roast).
