How is it that Texas Tech takes West Virginia to the woodshed yet is ranked below the Mountaineers? WTF?

Good to see Ohio crack the AP Top 25. Hope they can stay there. ;)

Now comes the bye-week. Just have to hope that chaos happens to the teams ranked higher than the Bobcats or those just below. I would absolutely love to see the score of a Bobcat game pop up every few minutes on ESPN's channels, even if it's just one week.

OU is in good shape to earn a BCS bid with the B1G only having one ranked team.

Love the Cats, but we'd lose 60-0 in a BCS game.

Agreed.

But I would love to see them play in a bowl upgrade if possible. I realize that even the non-BCS major bowls (Gator, Outback, Capital One, etc.) have commitments to the major conferences, but if the Bobcats can somehow go undefeated, they'd deserve to play in one of these types of bowls. BCS no, but one of these bowls, yes.

Some big games next weekend. I think USCe will beat UF and WVU will beat KSU for my upsets. A&M vs LSU game starts at 11 am their time, 12 pm here. Stupid time for a game. I think LSU beats them bad and keeps them off the field. A&M gives up alot of points even to La Tech. Oregon and ND win easy.

Polls look pretty good and the BCS poll was kinda interesting. Alot of football to be played.

That's not how it works. None of those bowls could/would elect to take OU over even a middle tier team from an affiliated conference. The Gator Bowl, Outback Bowl and Capital One Bowl are SEC/B1G tie-ins, the two most revenue-generating leagues. They may get a shot in another bowl game due to the B1G's lack of bowl eligible teams.

The B1G has 8 bowl tie-ins. 2 of their 12 teams aren't eligible for bowl games. Illinois, Indiana and Purdue are going to struggle to get eligible. Probably 1 of those 3 gets eligible, which would allow them to fill their 8 slots. The only other league who won't fill their slots will be the Big East.

Yeah. They're struggling to beat low-level MAC teams right now. I'm just hoping they can get their defense playing better so they can be assured of beating the better conference teams like Kent State and...uh...well, Kent State.

Ah, hell! From here on out, EPSN uses BCS rankings on their scoreboard updates. As of now, games for next week list Oregon as #3 and Florida #2.
