Some pretty big upsets in the Top 25 today, and a very close call.

#6 WVU narrowly escapes Cleveland State, 80-78

USC over #8 Tennessee, 77-55
Old Dominion over #11 Georgetown, 61-57
Richmond over #13 Florida, 56-53
Wichita State over #20 Texas Tech, 85-83

Yeah, I know it's just one game for Tennessee and Florida, but I'm beginning to think that Kentucky might have to play an absolutely awful game to lose during the regular season.

The Tennessee loss is well...baffling. USC isn't good.

Florida shouldn't lose at home, but Richmond is a quality team.

Georgetown losing surprised me as well.

What do you mean? Isn't the SEC God's gift to college sports? Teams in the SEC aren't supposed to be losing. What in the world is going on?

Richmond is a solid team. They were actually my "mid major team to watch" on the preseason predictions thread on the old huddle.

They've already beaten Mississippi State, Missouri, Old Dominion, and now Florida this year.

Thats a very good pick.

I think that they will finish 2nd in the A10 this season behind Dayton. They always play Xavier tough.

South Carolina without Dominique Archie isn't an NCAA Tourney caliber team.

Out of those upsets the only one I would really find surprising is Tennessee. Other than that it was a mixture of pretty strong opponents and teams that had kind of exceeded expectations to this point so far in the season. Florida, Georgetown, and Texas Tech will all be pretty decent teams but they're definitely not good enough that they won't see some upsets along the way.
