Obama and the left; all they talk about is how Romney just wants to cut taxes for the wealthy. I mean Obama will just sit there talking about Libya or something and all of a sudden Obama will just be like "Yeah and the other side just wants to cut taxes on the wealthy".
God people are stupid.
God people are stupid.

Romney is off to a good start addressing this. But will people believe & trust Romney, or will they let the liberal media decide that for them?

I used to be very right and just am no a skeptic. I feel like a devils advocate for both parties. However, I think that Romney does seem pretty sincere in his addresses.
However, they are both being very political. Cut to the chase, be a human..

It's Romney's strength. I think his energy and passion were very evident, while Obama was just kind of like "Bill, help me please"

It's not even really Obama that bothers me the most, but if you talk to an Obama supporter the only thing they keep repeating is how Romney wants to raise taxes on poor people and that he's a racist that ships jobs overseas.
You can probably guess the response I get when I ask for specifics. I mean do people even know what rhetoric is?

Rhetoric is all they know. It's THEIR reality. There's a reason people keep returning to the same biased sources for their news, because it confirms and validates their similarly biased beliefs.sleeper;1287103 wrote: I mean do people even know what rhetoric is?

As usual, I agree. Republicans are guilty of this as well, but at least my Republican(actually they are all libertarians) friends avoid using media generated rhetoric and talking points. I'll be honest, I only know a few Democrats and they aren't the sharpest tools in the shed.gut;1287106 wrote:Rhetoric is all they know. It's THEIR reality. I got into a pretty large debate about stimulus and Keynesian economics with a (far left wing)friend recently and he was sitting there condescendingly telling me what you are suppose to do in a recession(government spending up, etc). I sat there and said "And how's that working out? We still have high unemployment, exploding deficits, decreasing wages, low prospects for young people, and massive holes in entitlement programs." I started laughing when he said "Well the stimulus just wasn't large enough!". LOL

Dems aren't the problem. LIBERALS, in my experience, tend to be as ignorant and biased as they accuse [correctly] the far right of being.sleeper;1287124 wrote: I'll be honest, I only know a few Democrats and they aren't the sharpest tools in the shed.
