I don't have a problem with guns or the people who own them, as long as their guns are kept on private property. Those who go through the non-trivial process to get their permit are far less likely to commit a gun crime than to prevent one. The loonies likely to pull a gun and shoot someone in a road rage incident are those who don't care about the laws and carry illegally. Whether this is true or not in a anecdotal case that involves someone famous doesn't negate the facts.
