Looking into getting a truck, but have a kid on the way. Anyone have experience with car seats fitting in the back of a truck? Can I get away with it in a crew or super cab? Or do I just need to go 4 door?

Plenty or room for a car seat in the truck bed.

I would think there would be enough room, but I might just take a car seat when you are test driving. Four doors would be much easier to get the kid in and out though.

We don't have kids but I do have a super cab F150 and it seems like it would be easy enough to manage with a car seat. I'd prefer a 4 door, though.

I have a extended cab w/ 4 door more that enought room when i pick up the grandkids, when they where in car seats. My daughter has a crew cab with a half door type ... little more difficult but it works. She said she won't make that mistake twice.

I would suggest looking down the road more and get extended cab w/ four doors more of a family van and guy truck

always liked having a p/u. initially had an extended/club cab, but after kids came quickly traded in for a 4 door with full back seat. Only way to go if you're taking kids along anywhere. you obv. give up some bed space, but it's much more functional as a kid hauler. Wouldn't recommend otherwise.
