stlouiedipalma has reported a post.

Reason:
I wish to file a complaint against jmog for his use of the word "retarded" in describing me. I have several friends who have mentally challenged or disabled children and I do not think that this is a word to be used on this forum. I gave jmog an opportunity to retract his use of this word, but he chose not to do so. In addition, o-trap defended the use of this word. If these kinds of personal attacks are permitted, then it would be safe to say that nothing is off-limits.

He has friends with disabled children. "Retard" is deemed to no longer be a word used to mean "mentally challenged" or "developmentally disabled." As such, "retard" no longer bears any connection with ailments of the mental development variety.

So, stlouiedepalma is retarded.

Sure, but saying an idea is "retarded" isn't calling names. I agree that name-calling is pretty easily construed as a personal attack, but an idea isn't a person.

He said he is one of the most retarded posters on there. That is name calling. Always has been in that forum.

Not to mention the rules specifically prohibit name calling.

That's definitely justified. I wouldn't contest that. My beef is with stlouie's complaint being about the use of a word, and not that he called him a name.
