He's cheap and has no game. I'd have had her having a toke outside from the get go and a shot from the bottle in my car; hj at a minimum.

Not before I tipped the door guy so much he had drinks waiting at the door for us, however.

The guy is totally right. I've got friends who go out with no money banking on guys buying their drinks

I was with him until he bought the fat chick a drink just for spite and then handed her off to his friend to bang.

...I had a friend that was real good looking and everytime we went out, girls would go crazy over him. One night we're out and he's talking with like 3 girls (me hoping to catch one of his cast offs) and this girl (cute) asks me if I know the guy next to me. When I said yes, she asked if I would introduce her to him if she bought ME a drink. After I had my drink I tapped my buddy on the arm and said "this is.. (I forgot to what her name was...so...you're who?), she says her name and my buddy talks with her for a few mins and then moved on. God I miss those days!

I didn't read the article, but very few women(read: the ones with brains and class) I know go out to the bar with money. Most of them go out to the bar expecting all of their drinks to be paid for.

I rarely, if ever, buy a girl a drink. Why? Because I have and know waaaaaaay too many girlfriends who intentionally go out and try to have guys buy them drinks so they don't have to pay anything and they have ZERO interest in the guys. They simply want to drink for free. My motto is, "f*ck em then." Besides, I've come to the realization that no girl that you ever 'pick up at the club' is ever going to turn out to be 'the one.'

I have never bought a random girl at a bar drinks. I've bought rounds for my friends (guys and girls). But I've never bought drinks for a random girl at a bar. But then again, I never went to bars to pick up girls (no bar scene in college and just never did it once I graduated).

I don't get this.

I don't frequent clubs too often, but when I do go, I go with enough to get a table, and I go with friends. It helps keep the the mice away.

I think it's because we're lame moderators busy abusing our power instead of picking up girls at bars with the promise of alcohol.

Truth. Often, while I am at said table, I will get on my phone and further my personal vendetta against very specific posters on this board.

I've never bought a random girl a drink at a bar, mainly because of my one lady friend. She is very chesty, ok in the face, but she will have guys come over and talk to her while we are all out. They come and offer her a drink and she says "Only if you buy one for my boys." So the dumb guys will buy us drinks just to talk to her. Then I usually take her home, but never the bar dudes. I've gone out to a bar with her, got drunk, and didn't spend a dime. No matter where you go, there will be horndogs, so why not take advantage?

But because of her I perceive any girl looking to take this route.

My friends and I do this on occasion. We'll go out with maybe 4-5 guys and get a bottle(s) and a table. We do invite girls to enjoy the drinks with us (because five dudes downing a bottle of whiskey alone in the club is lame..), but that's the only time we "buy" drinks for girls.
