#1) the match(es) Groveport is in.
#2) the one that the action carries a match to one of the other mats and high heels someone to the side of the dome.
#3) any match that a) goes down to the wire but b) avoids controversy.
Those are my top three.
Announcements soon...

I think my favorite was 3X runner-up and eventual State Champion Josh Horne's overtime thriller over 2X placer and eventual runner-up Mikey Davis. It's not that the match was particularly exciting, there wasn't much scoring and Horne won on a ride out. It was the fact that the entire match was wrestled as a set-up for the next week's State Final bout. It was a tactical masterpiece in that Horne stalled and hung on and frustrated Davis into thinking he had to push the action and be overly aggressive a week later. It worked perfectly. The District finals was a snooze-fest, but in the State final Davis came out shooting and Horne scored twice off counters and won a well deserved title in workman like fasion.
We talk about elbow passes, arm drags and head snaps, but Josh horne used an entire six minute District finals match to set up his State championship.

I enjoyed Boehm v Higgins in 08' ...
But really...
Sasfy v Drake-08'
Demas v Marsh-08'
DiSabato v Boehm-09'
Green v Luft-10'
Demas v Bailey-10'
Forrider v D'urso-11'
Just off the top of my mind.

I remember that match vividly. It was one of the best I've seen and Horne took that match and completely used it against him a week later.Bitterrunner-up;1273272 wrote:I think my favorite was 3X runner-up and eventual State Champion Josh Horne's overtime thriller over 2X placer and eventual runner-up Mikey Davis.
