The Browns (0-1) travel to Cincinnati to play the Bengals (0-1).

Who wins?

I voted Bengals but who knows. I'll say Weeden bounces back with a 2-TD performance, but Bengals win 26-20.

As a Browns fan, I would love to see Weeden bounce back, but he showed zero ability to play QB at this level. I'll take the Bengals 24-9. Green could have a field day w/ Haden out.

Wouldn't surprise me, at all, if the Browns won this. Weeden won't look nearly as bad against a "so so" Bengals pass defense. I'm more concerned about BJGE than I am about Green & Dalton.

I half paid attention to the Bengals/Ravens game. It seemed like the Bengals passed way more than they stuck with their rushing attack. If they do this against the Browns, imo the Browns could have a chance to win. Their pass rush isn't bad, especially when there is no run to worry about. If the Browns played any other QB last week (other than RGIII), they would have have had a lot more sacks with that pass rush.

I think Lewis & Gruden will watch the tape and see that the Browns run D is porous. Granted, BJGE is no Shady McCoy but you don't really need to be a Shady to gash this run D. Until the Browns prove they can consistently stop a rushing attack, it will be susprect. If the Bengals let Dalton manage the game and not get "pass happy", they likely win.

As far as more sacks go? Not so sure. Vick, like Roethlisberger, tends to hold the ball way too long and take unnecessary shots.

I could get on board with Weeden not looking as bad, if it was just good coverage that had him trying to complete tough throws, but it wasn't. His decision making was as bad as I've seen for an "NFL" QB. He wasn't seeing wide open receivers, that is a big problem.

Browns by 10+

Defense shows up, offense improves.

With Haden out AJ Green scares me. What about Sheldon Brown? He was hurt last Sunday but I haven't found any reports about him for this week.

I have AJG in fantasy so all is not terrible, but as a Browns fan that matchup scares me.

Love the optimism of my fellow Browns fans, even if it is unfounded.

Why? Bengals looked like crap and the Browns hung tough with a team likely much better than them. Any semblance of an offense and the Browns could've won going away against Philly.

Exactly. The Browns showed none, I can't imagine they all of a sudden find it. Also, the defense was gashed by Philly, just got lucky that Vick wants to win the game on every play. Then, no Haden. Bengals home opener. I just don't see how the Browns pull it out.

Not saying the Browns WILL win but in this game, anyone can take it. I expect the offense to look quite a bit better.

No, sorry. Just because the offense sucks ass, doesn't mean we have to downplay the defense. Causing 5 turnovers and holding a team to 17 points on 88 plays is not luck, especially since Vick was pressured into most of those plays. Sorry. If the Browns D comes out as focused as they were last week, then the game will be competitive.

Seriously though, this is a 50/50 game. Logic says the Bengals should win, but I have my doubts. Haden being out is probably the difference, because I don't think Weeden will be that inept again and the Browns will put up 17ish points. Green gets 100 and a score and the Bengals win 20-17 on a last minute field goal.

I'll also be one of the 12 people in the stands so look for me!!!

This I can agree with. If the Browns D shows up, I don't think this will be as one-sided as many think.
