Good game so far. Really wish we could get some more runs on Burnett.

From the looks of this line-up, with Heisey 8th and Valdez 2nd, that Dusty figured that Heisey will be owned by Burnett, but he doesn't want to play Stubbs! That's progress for Dusty to think that when there is a pitcher he thinks Heisey can't hit.

11.5 game lead. That's what's up.

J.J. Hoover picks up the save. John Broxton did it last night. Reds not missing Chapman at all.

Homer Bailey got it done.

Phillies won. Brewers won. Diamondbacks and Dodgers playing now. The Pirates are in major trouble. Not only fall to 2.5 back, but it's magnified because soon they might be fighting with 5 or 6 teams for 1 spot.

Buccos are finished. They'll be under .500 to finish the season. That's just sort of what they do.

Looks like Dusty knew what he was doing! Valdez had a hit and an RBI on a ground out. While Heisey struck out on three pitches each of his first two times up, and three of those 6 pitches were way out of the zone according to CBSsports tracker, and the other three were close with two of them being very borderline. Then Heisey's last time up he grounded out on the first pitch which was the only one of his 7 that got much of the zone at all.

Bored so I went and read the predictions thread.

Justin (first-good, second-bad)
My "bold" prediction is that the 5 starters we break camp with will all win 12+ games. Cueto, Latos, Leake, Bailey, and Arroyo. Chapman will tear up in AAA and they will deal him near the deadline for a legit ML bat.
COA to Justin:
How about Avatar bet from when the reds win 91 games, or mathematically can't win 91 games until WS?
4 more wins

Stubbs K: 178
Stubbs K: 185
Stubbs 181 K
Stubbs K: 181
Stubbs K: 169
lol, he's at 144

Mooney44:
I'm not sure what's crazy about Cozart hitting 18 HRs? I mean the dude has pop. Fan Graphs projects 13....I don't think 5 more than that is out of the realm of possibility. It all depends on if his elbow is 100%. And if he is batting around .287 Dusty would have no choice but to play him a lot, so its possible.
Not a bad call, he's at 15

I was going to be at the game Wed night, but came down with a bad cold Tuesday and spend that day and Thursday home sick and pissed off at the world.

So, you win...
