I have a national competition coming up in April, and I am looking for random facts. Throw out your best geography trivia and I'll see what I can do.

no, I'm pretty good at this. If I don't know them, I'll look them up and provide the answer, but announce that I didn't know. I gotta practice somehow.

An ismuth?

EDIT: Isthmus

Why thank you. I'm not sure I understand. Are you talking about a sandbar? Technically, an Isthmus is a narrow land bridge which connects any two masses of land.

Lake Victoria-Uganda, Tanzania, maybe others?

Mount Elbert (my former roommates climbed it)

5, not counting Switzerland or Vietnam-Switzerland to Germany to Poland to Ukraine to Russia to China to Vietnam???

I'll take a guess and say that this is a trick question and it is a historical name, so lets say the Netherlands

Another guess, Russia and Kazakhstan.

At 13,804 Gannet Peak is in the Wind River Range, and you are looking for the Wind River Indian Reservation.
It is the tallest peak in Wyoming, and hopefully I will be climbing it next summer.

You have experience with Wyoming?

Lol, I just took this Sporcle Quiz about an Hour ago. Let me see if I can remember all of them.

Identical name:
Singapore
Monaco
Vatican City
San Marino
Luxembourg

Name plus city:
Kuwait City
Mexico City
Panama City
Guatemala City

partial name:
Andorra La Vella, Andorra
Male, Maldives
Sao Tome, Sao Tome and Principe
Bissau, Guinea Bissau
Tunis, Tunisia
Algiers, Algieria

I think thats all of those.

As for the second question,

Vatican City
Lesotho
San Marino
Gambia (borders Atlantic, otherwise surrounded by Senegal)
Monaco (borders Mediterranean, otherwise surrounded by France)

And I believe that is all of those.
