Leake gave up some shots in the first, but he is not behind thanks to the BP shot on the first pitch to the Reds.

Anytime Leake makes it to the 7th, a reliever needs to be throwing before the 1st pitch. He should have been relieved as soon as he gave up the lead-off walk, but Dusty missed the boat. After the 2nd batter reached the Reds are fortunate to have Hurdle over manage by taking down the #8 hitter who was 2/2 against Leake tonight. The PH promptly hit into a DP, which fortunately left the Reds still leading after the pinch hitter for the P hit it out.

I'll take 3 runs in 7 innings all day with Leake. If we can't score more than that then we deserve to lose.

Let's hope that opportunity presents itself. Also hopefully Frazier can rest at least until Friday.

It'll start sounding like Indians fans every year when they start out hot. "this year is different"... Then they collapse.

Hey, is it true what I've been reading, that the Divisional Series games involving the wild card winner will have a 2-3 format, with the first two games at the home of the wild card winner? Sounds like that could put the Reds at a bit of a disadvantage. Let's say the Braves and the Cardinals (in order of finish) win the wild cards. They have a one-game playoff at Atlanta and the Braves win. The Braves would then host the Reds in Games 1 and 2 before they shift to Cincinnati for game 3. How is that fair to the team with the best record? How is it fair to their fans, who could possibly only see one game?

Its true, it's not fair... But it is what it is. They said it'll change next year. They say they didn't want wild card teams traveling too much. That's dumb. Win more games and you won't have to worry about it.
