Carrollton invades Reilly Stadium this Friday for the NBC opener.
Carrollton is 3-0, but at least 2 of their wins are over just dreadful teams. Salem won it last year, but Salem is down in the talent and experience department this year and has yet to put one in the W column.
Before the year I figured this, Canton South, and United were the only 3 "easy" wins Salem had, but I obviously don't believe this anymore. I think it'll be close if Salem comes to play, but I just don't know.
What say you all?

I sure hope so. Going to have to slow down an apparently strong running game, and going to have to find a way to give our QB at least 2 seconds to throw the ball.TheQ;1265843 wrote:Salem wins a close one.

Dreadful teams??? Claymont and Mapleton are both 2-1 with their only losses coming against us. And Claymont is a good football team this year. Our defense is pretty good. I will take Carrollton by 14+.
And good luck on your QB having 2 seconds to throw the ball.

Thanks, he is just a sophomore and the O-line is 2 freshman, 2 sophs, 2 juniors, and RB's are underclassmen as well -------- VERY young. Now you get the picture.LocoEngineer66;1270485 wrote:And good luck on your QB having 2 seconds to throw the ball.

Look at who those 2 have played. There is about nothing you can take from those wins

42 - 6. If we were juniors and seniors, we would stink; but when you are freshmen, sophs and juniors, it is simply hard to be critical. Carrollton's O-line is 5 seniors, ours is 2 freshman, 2 sophs, 2 juniors --- there is nothing you can do except play, learn, get better, and move on.
The disappointing parts are: a defense that is getting whipped, and a ridiculous amount of costly penalties.
Sidenote - our opponents are a combined 14 - 2. The bad news is, it gets no easier.

I wasn't disrespecting him in any way it's just our defense is playing really good right now. I just hope it lasts.QuakerOats;1270647 wrote:Thanks, he is just a sophomore and the O-line is 2 freshman, 2 sophs, 2 juniors, and RB's are underclassmen as well -------- VERY young. The penalties were ridiculous for both teams tonight ... according to FNO we both had 95 yds in penalties.

We had at least 14 penalties for well over 100 yards ...... really no excuse for that, even though I disagreed with several of them ..... seemed like a bushleague crew out there for sure.

Claymont played IV, a team that made the playoffs last year and will probably get 2nd in the PAC this year. Not to mention Claymont returned 18 starters from a 8-2 team last year, that's a pretty good win from Carrollton. They're a good bunch of kids up there in Carroll County. Keep it up Warriors.ts1227;1270798 wrote:Look at who those 2 have played. There is about nothing you can take from those wins
