The worst beer I've ever attempted to drink was the Smuttynose of some kind. It was a dark dark beer and I hadn't advanced my beer palette to that level yet. Took one drink of my 6 dollar pint, nearly convulsed, and walked out of the bar.

Golden Hawk Classic Malt Liquor. Only had it 2 or 3 times in high school and had the runs the next day every time.

That was the go to beer in high school. Cheap and effective. Later in college when I was more sophisticated I learned that putting a lime in it made it taste just like a Corona.

Hands down... Utica Club Beer.

University Discount at the corner of 14th and High in C-bus still sold six-packs of it for 99 cents in 1978. We made the mistake of pouring it out into a glass one night - only to see the dregs (leftover bits of brewers' grains) swirling around on the bottom. The SOB's didn't even filter the stuff before canning it, and it tasted like what I suppose would be piss from a diabetic weasel.

Oddly enough, Utica is now a maker of premier craft beers such the Saranac brands, and they also brew Sam Adams under contract for a large part of the country.
