Which system?

For sega genesis, I use genesis plus and it has worked well for me so far.

Atari and Nintendo. I'm going to try the one you suggest, though.

For NES, I think the best is probably Nestopia. Just google Richard Bannister emulation and you'll get to his page, where he has them for about all systems. Think that's where Genesis Plus comes from, too.

Unless you're like me and have a painfully outdated computer. In which case, you'd use his earlier RockNes, which was the prototype for Nestopia.

Painfully outdated computers should scream through NES games.

Never experimented with emulation on a Mac though, but it probably would run like shit on a Mac since Macs are built for morons.

Oh, they scream through NES games...the problem is the emulation software requires a certain kind of processor, so when you have a painfully outdated computer, you wind up having to use older versions of the emulator that might still have a few glitches in them. It's one of those things I don't understand completely — why you'd need to have a new-computer OS to run a program designed to play games released in the late 80s/early 90s. It seemed like all the Mac OS 8s and 9s were compatible with each other to some degree, but every 10.something is way different and incompatible for these emulators.
