Got a response back today:
Word from support is that the problem is "sexually gratifying" content on your site. You'll need to remove that before ad serving can be re-enabled.

See this article about what AdSense considers to be "family safe" content:
adsense.blogspot.com/2007/11/play-it-safe-family-safe.html
I responded:
Peggy, thanks for the reply. Yeah, unfortunately ads were shut off when I was on vacation with my wife and a few people had posted threads that would've been removed immediately had I not been busy. I did remove them as soon as I found them and have made sure to remove all other "adult" threads as well.
Is it possible to have the site rescanned? Or if I put adsense code back on the site would it automatically rescan the content? I just don't want to do anything that is going to hurt me any more.
</pre>Then her response:
My understanding is that it was re-reviewed within the past few days, and that there is still a lot of "sexually gratifying" content on your site.

Read the article I linked to about family safe content: even bikini shots can be a problem, depending on the pose.

Basically, can you guys help me out scanning through threads trying to find stuff that might be considered "sexually gratifying" and either report it or paste a link in here? I am going to spend some time going through the site but I know I can't/won't find everything.

I think it seems like we might have to be strict about images. Heck, even the NSFW thread and ghetto booty thread in the basement will probably have to go. Americans are typically prude when it comes to sex so I'm not surprised when it comes to this companies policy. Also could you inquire with them if they are speaking about images or language as well.

For bikini shots we might have to have some sort of "tastefully" done requirement.

BTW, if you've got the permissions to do so, go ahead and move threads or delete posts with offending content.

I started to go through the NSFW thread in the basement and it starts off pretty harmless, but about halfway through the 1st page every other picture could be deemed sexually gratifying. I'm just throwing out examples of pictures which I think could meet their definition.

And yeah, I'm including the basement as well. I want to be safe and get ads back ASAP. People might bitch, but fuck them. If they don't understand why we're doing it they're not worth the time.

Well DO you want me to go ahead and just delete those threads or unapprove posts? Or delete the questionable posts.

I'm waiting to hear back if we can just move threads to this forum if we have to delete them completely. Hold off for now, I guess.

Okay, I think the NSFW thread could be salvaged, but the entire Ghetto Booty thread needs to go.

I'm wondering if the term "NSFW" is a trigger for google, though.

It's possible, rename it "Classy Shots of Girls in Swimwear!"

I would err on the side of strict for now. If it's borderline, get rid of it. These guys will live.

Another thread that might be sexualy suggestive could be the GFY thread. It's just full of "go fuck yourself." Not sure if that would be flagged or not.

The easiest solution would be to blow up the basement and just ban people, but I know we're trying to avoid it.

Someone might want to find that picture of the naked black dude. Pretty sure ads got shut down right around the time that pic was posted.

lol, what?

I think what triggered the ads getting shut down was the "pornstar blowjob" thread trueblue started.

Response on moving threads here:
I don't know if that would be a resolution to your issue or not. If it's not at all publicly accessible and there is no ad code on those pages it might be OK, but I can't say for sure.

So just move questionable threads to this forum? Or do you have the code on the mod forum? Honestly, we should probably just delete stuff that is definitely over the line. And questionable move it here first then delete if we agree.

But I love how they approach stuff. They give vague and "questionable" guidance so that you have to overreact to stay in their good graces. It's just like the FCC.

Yeah, I think delete the posts/threads that are obviously causing problems and move borderline threads here first.

I've just been moving a bunch of threads in here from the basement with titles that mention NSFW or any other sexual topic. I guess that's okay for now.

Can we have a link to a separate, non-AdSense forum that is basically just the basement? Different domain. No ads. I would think that would solve the problem, unless too much of the traffic goes to the basement already, thus defeating the purpose.
