Cozart 6, Stubbs 8, Phillips 4, Bruce 9, Frazier 5, Heisey 7, Cairo 3, Navarro 2, Latos 1

Hopefully this will be Cairo's last start at 1B in his career with the Reds.

Hopefully it will be Cairo's last start anywhere in his career with the Reds.

Reds win. Cozart and Stubbs go 2-10. At best.

I'm fine with that. Looking forward to Didi being called up though!

Latos struggling in the 1st, but Bruce/Cozart help greatly, knocking off the lead-off batter trying to stretch a single into a double. Full count on the first two batters, one hit, one walk.

Latos balks in a run, and he's up to 30 pitches in the inning as well. Greeeat

Latos used up 34 pitches in the first and the outfield assist kept the damage to only one run on 2 hits, 2 walks, and a balk(no RBI in the inning). Matt doesn't have that many pitches left should he turn it around and get back on the beam like he has several times this year.

Dbacks young pitcher just mowing the reds down with ease. 53 pitches through 5. Some awful at bats by reds hitters. They look like a team ready for get a way day and the day off.

Corbin loses it as fast as Leake or Arrroyo, giving up a double to Frazier followed by HRs to Heisey and Navarro, and then a 2nd hit to Latos, and he leaves trailing 3-2.

Let's see if Latos can earn a win by getting them out with a zero in at least one inning after the Reds get the lead.

And he gets his zero in the 7th. That will probably be it for Latos with 118 pitches, 2 R, 5 H, 3 BB, and 7 Ks. Let's get some insurance!

Cairo had his chance right in the middle of the bottom five in the order when Corbin was vulnerable, giving up 4 hits(2 HRs, double, and a hit to the pitcher). And what did he do? Saw 3 pitches, swung at them all, and went back to the bench with a K.
