Garage sale thiefs

The wife and daughters are having a garage sale this weekend. Being very orginzied everything is accounted for and written down per sale.
The sting operation..... So they have noticed that one item Avon perfume seem to be missing a lot. Not a big deal we have boxes of it. I turned the security camera to see...... No comment on who.

Who steals from a garage sale? why?

Anyone else encounter someone stealing from your property outside stuff?

One time someone tried to steal a large metal pot we have. That didn't go well for them. The center of the pot is chained 20 foot and tied to bucket of buried cement. I'm sure after a nice running start the quick stop and the weight of the pot really hurt.

Parents had a garage sale this weekend. Funniest thing I saw was this guy wanted to buy something marked $4 for $2 so my mom said sure whatever. This dude pulls out a wad of cash(at least 2 $100 bills) and gives her the 2 ones. Seriously dude u really couldn't pay the $4???

Seriously a women bought a .50 item and pulled out a $50.00, my wife who can play this game handed her $49.00 in ones and 5 dimes

Someone stole our trash can once. Yeah. They left everything alone, but took the trash can. That one boggled my mind.

One morning three summers ago I went outside to discovered someone had helped themselves to my 2 50' garden hoses.

Camera was for the outside I just moved it to the garage as to see who was taking stuff

My wife's grandparents do the same thing because they had one stolen from their yard on a couple different occasions. Now they try to "tie down" everything they can in their front yard that might interest someone.

Garage sales are for poor people.

But why is there a pot in the yard? Or is it like a flower pot? For some reason I'm envisioning a cooking pot just sitting chained in the yard.

In theirs it's a big ass flower pot.

We bought two of them in a estate sale, they are large cast iron flower pots. We have had people wanting to buy them a number of times. They would be hard pressed to steal them. Only once has anyone tried and they failed ...

We had two rocking chairs taken off our front porch a few summers ago.

You probably wouldn't even be upset if someone managed to get them, more like impressed. At that point they clearly wanted them more than you did.

I figured they were flower pots but for a second I thought you had cooking pots chained to your yard like some damned weirdo before realizing it was probably not the case.

If some was able to steal those pot ... I would be impressed... Pissed but impressed
