Good article here and I wonder what your guys thoughts are. I really wonder the same thing all the time, it just seems like there has to be a point where as humans we can't run any faster. I mean I don't believe anyone will be able to run a sub 9 second 100M but it's crazy how times in everything continually fall

We will eventually get to a point where world records are broken only by hundreds or thousands of a second, unlike now where WR's are still being broken by tenths and full seconds.

Could be close to reaching the ceiling of physically training athletes (w.o enchancements, like Fly4Fun said) but (imo) the mental side of it is limitless.

Yes.

There are so many training, nutrition, biohacking, hormone manipulating protocols that are largely untapped in most mainstream sports. A lot of it has shown the ability to affect the genetic make up of an athlete as early as the next generation. We're not talking genetic altering but more along the lines of how to maximize the capabilities of a person and their expressed genetics.

Combine this with application to the right people who already possess many traits to be incredible athletes and we're just scratching the surface of potential.

Also look at the evolution of humans. A good example for instance is the Valentine Theater in Toledo. You can barely reach the handrails on the stairs because they're so low. That's because people just 80 years ago were a bit smaller. I think we're seeing much more progressive bodies, NBA centers are basically all the size Wilt was back in the day And I think runners of Usain Bolt's size are going to be the norm of the future. It's just hard to imagine a sub 9 second 100m

They will continue to break records, no doubt. Also if we look at many of the WR's they are by hundredths of seconds, and who knows when they still start to go to even smaller timing units than that.

1960 it was at 10 seconds for a 100 meters.

So in 52 years they shaved off less than half a second.

O course the shorter events will get broken less I would imagine

Eevntually humans may cross breed with a yet unknown alien species which could enhance performances that will shatter today's standards.

If aliens show up, they're clearly the more advanced species, no way they'd cross breed with us and become sup par.

The whole Jamaican team is doping and doing it very well I must say. Somebody has discovered a very effective masking agent.

This makes sense. But what if they're just a bunch of horn dogs that find humans extremely attractive?

Not me. What if the male alien finds male humans attractive and are able to impregnate us?
