Jones will have the better season (barring injuries). Book it. Better QB throwing to him as well.

Wonder what the people who call Green a top 5 wr will have to say.

I'd agree Matt Ryan is better than Andy Dalton, Roddy White and the running game are going to be natural barriers to Jones.

As of right now, the Bengals have question marks in the running game and at the other WR positions.

Julio and aj could both be in the top 5 this season. Green showed last year he is a top notch playmaker and I've read that no one can stop jones in camp this year. I actually wanted the bengals to grab jones over green because of his run blocking but I'm sure as he'll glad they picked green instead. With atlantas schedule vs the bengals schedule anything is possible. Btw I'd take a one armed green over a three armed Greg little

What does Greg Little have to do with the OP?

I'd take green easily over jones right now.

0% chance Julio and AJ are both in the top 5 this year. That's just insane. I think Green is better. Jones isn't even the Falcons #1.

There aren't 5 WRs I'd take over AJ Green right now. Calvin Johnson and Larry Fitzgerald yes, but I'd take him over Roddy, Andre, Brandon marshall, and Steve Smith. There's not much data to go off of obviously, so its all opinion, but I think Green is better than Jones and that's no slight to Jones.

If you're factoring in age and potential, Green is arguably top 3. Andre Johnson is great, but he's injury prone and 31 years old. A.J. just turned 24...

Lol seriously? Right now green is not top 5 and probably won't be at seasons end. I would take Andre, megatron, Fitzgerald, white, smith, Jennings, and possibly Cruz

You would take Victor Cruz over A.J. Green? For real?

I think you guys are WAY overvaluing Green. I mean he is pretty solid, but I could name 10 wr's I'd take over him. But then it opens up a whole new debate on what you consider a "good" wr

As a rookie:

24th in the NFL in receptions
14th in the NFL in yards
17th in the NFL in ypc
T-5th in the NFL in TD's

Other factors:

Rookie QB
Run-first offense
Average pass-blocking offensive line

Whether his 2012 value/production is top 5-10 worthy is one thing. That's definitely up for debate. However, I'm not sure why anyone would be surprised he's considered a top 10 overall receiver. He's got the size, speed AND stats to be in this mold.

Dead serious :)

Like I said, it's all opinion, but I would take him over Andre for sure just because of the injury issues AJ has had the past 2 years. I think Roddy is good but AJ has a higher ceiling, Steve Smith and Brandon Marshall could both be ahead, but I think AJ is a better pure receiver than Smith and Marshall is just a coin flip to me. They're all great though.

I'm also someone who has watched AJ Green since he was a freshman at Georgia, thought he had the potential to be the next AJ or CJ, and wanted him on the Bengals badly. He hasn't done anything to make me think he doesn't have top 5 talent.

Btw, I remember there was a reciever rankings done last year and I had AJ top 10 or so I think and got blasted then, so I'm used to it, haha.

His stats don't impress me. They average out to 15. If you think dalton and green are still going to improve substantially, then I could see there is POTENTIAL to be top 10. He is still a long ways away from top 5

I do. He had a great season. I guess I'm thinking overall potential. If I'm going strictly for 2012 production, it's a debate for sure.

 At the end of the day you can't even call it a top 5. IMO no one and I mean no one is on Megatron's level. He is the only honestly unstoppable target, Stafford just has to honestly lob it up for him to catch it. It's almost unfair

If AJ keeps dropping the ball like he did tonight, he might not be in the top 20.

On the plus side, he did beat Revis like a drum on the slant in the end zone.

The wrs I would take over Green for the 2012 season are

Calvin
White
Fitz

The only reason I don't take Andre Johnson is bc of injuries and the fact his hammy is already hurt.

I think aj green Cruz Smith Jennings Jones nicks welker and Marshall are all in the 2nd tier

The wr I think that could really break out is d. Thomas with manning at qb or Brandon Lloyd with Brady

I mean honestly. Wow... That was tough to read.
