Besides Jordan Burroughs who else should I be watching?
I dont post in wrestling much but think its about time I do. I have always loved watching and participated when I was in school. I usually make it to a few matches in my area every year.

Jake Herbert, Dlanev (spelling?), and Jake Varner all have shots to medal IMO.
Greco isn't predicted to do well but Harry lester (4x state champ) is competing and he is a former world silver medalist I believe. Spencer Mango also has a solid shot at medaling if he wrestles his best.

I believe Burroughs has said he plans to compete at Rio, before he looks into going mma. We will see, if he wins gold, there might be a lot of money being thrown at him.

Clarissa Chun becomes the first medalist for the US, as she takes in a Bronze.

IMO:
Coleman Scott can medal.
Jordan Burroughs can win gold.
Jake Herbert can medal.
Jake Varner can medal.
Tervel Dlagnev can win gold.
Hazewinkle and Frayer could medal, but will have a tougher go of it than those listed above.
THen again, I could be COMPLETELY wrong.

Will be watching. Thought Haze's loss was bad in the 2nd period clinch ref should have restarted that!

Arrgh... Scott goes down in the semis, but is going for Bronze. To me, he was in the match. Close bout.
Herbert has the wackiest scoring sequesnce in the history of the Olympics and thus, falls to the losers side of things - if his opponent makes the finals. And if that happens, I hope he medals.
I didn't see Tervel's match. I'll defer to Jason Bryant's expertise and assume the pin was not in fact a pin.
Darn it.

From Askren's facebook:

Just a hint to how stupid Olympic wrestling bracketing is, at 84kg Jamie Espinal makes the finals. In the last year he has not placed at the Dave Schultz tourney and my brother Max beat him 7-0, Pin at the NYAC.
Also along with what he said, I have to agree. At 66 KG the defending world champ from Russia, and the defending world runner up from puerto rico (franklin gomez... NCAA champ at MSU) wrestled in the first round! What kind of crap bracketing is that?!?

Like that: It's the new rage. This coming state tournament will be done by weight class and then alphabetically! Here's hoping Adam Adams and Bill Billings aren't projected #'s 1 and 2!!!!!!!

Coleman Scott: Olympic Bronze Medalist! Well done.
Herbert is out and I'm not sure what's going on with Tervel at this point.

If he would have been able to commit to the training... I don't doubt it a bit.
