Final score in 2013. Will the Temples of the world rub Penn State's noses in it? And should they?

PSU isn't going to be that bad in 2012 or 2013. They're not going to be good, but they'll be average Big Ten. The problem is in 2014, 2015, 2016, etc when the lack of new recruits becomes more and more apparent. That's when they're going to start looking like Louisiana-Lafayette.

They can still finish in the middle of the Big Ten, and I'll be surprised if they don't. Look at the bottom of the Big Ten, Indiana, Purdue, Northwestern, Illinois, Minnesota. Penn St. will still be able to compete with those schools over the next few years.

It depends how many kids transfer. I expect a large number to transfer. If that happens, they will be very bad.Sykotyk;1234924 wrote:PSU isn't going to be that bad in 2012 or 2013. I was watching the Media Day. I didn't realize that they only have 9 starters returning. That's insane.

If Silas Redd doesn't leave, Penn State won't be that bad this season, but I would be shocked if he doesn't end up at USC (will announce Monday) Right now most are saying they will stay but that is the emotion of the moment talking and when they have a little more time to think about it may change their minds.

Losing 40 scholoraships over the next 4 years will devastate the program for 6 or 7 years.

Being an Ohio grad and having lived in State College the better part of the past 10 years, I'd love to see the Bobcats head into Beaver Stadium and beat Penn State. It would be sweet...PSU penalties notwithstanding.

I see at least four wins there.
OU, Navy, Temple, Indy.
