Just got my tix. Via a connection I was able to get 7th row a bit left of center stage....though I'm sure we'll still be behind LJ.

Any fans? Anyone going?

On a Sunday morning sidewalk,
I'm wishing, Lord, that I was stoned.
'Cause there's something in a Sunday
That makes a body feel alone.
And there's nothing short a' dying
That's half as lonesome as the sound
Of the sleeping city sidewalk
And Sunday morning coming down.

OK Zwick you got me...KK did write the song and delivered it to Cash in an Air Force helicopter he was piloting at the time. Great story.

KK mostly wrote for other people. Bobbi McGhee was originally a country song about a girl.

The show tonight was pretty good. I was a bit surprised at the format, however...Kristofferson came out and sang one song and then introduced Merle and then they both stayed on the stage for the entire show and helped each other play the others' songs. I enjoyed it thoroughly.

And, in an even bigger surprise moment, Merle announced they had a special guest in the audience and then invited Jamey Johnson up on stage and they did a great version of Long Black Veil. I was blown away at how good it was. I'm a fan of JJ and an even bigger fan of that song.
