:thumbup:Some friends stop over earlier today so I decided that cold beer and deep fried Yellow Hot Hungarian Peppers would be a good idea. Walked down to the garden picked a few peppers, plugged in the fried daddy on the back patio. Few minute later dropped a few Hot Hungarian Pepper into the fried daddy and the good eaten was on. Waterloo Dark Beer, Fried Hungarian Peppers and some Town House cracker … </SPAN>

Green Springs in Clyde does this. I ordered a dog and she dropped it in the fryer. I must have gotten a dumb look on my face because she said, "Don't worry. Stem and seed cut out (really don't have to take out the seeds) and dropped in hot oil.... cook until the skin get a little brown and remove from the oil drain a little .... start eating with a cracker or cheese, even slice of pepperoni ..QuakerOats;1232380 wrote:Were these peppers coated with breading/batter, or plain?

The really hot oil locks in the flavor of the pepper but takes the heat from the pepper and leaves a hint of spicy taste that enhances the pepper flavor.Fab1b;1232428 wrote:Belly sounds great will have to try.

Note: the oil has to be hot …. for quick deep fried
You can do the same for Banana Pepper also..

Belly...no offense but there isn't any "heat" per se in a pepper. It's a chemical that makes a pepper seem spicy so that you detect it in on contact. In the pepper's oil there is a chemical called capsaicin.

Capsaicin is often times described as 8-methyl N-vanillyl 6-nonenamide, Mmmmmm, mm.
