So obviously with the PSU situation there will be some proding and joking. However, at what point do we we cut it off as after a certain point it would just be to inflame people (even though we don't have any PSU fans here as far as I know). Or can you inflame posters that don't exist? This just seems kind of odd as if this was a PSU site with the same set of rules and OSU, UM and PSU fans on it I think we'd eventually force the issue to be dropped. Or even imagining this site has a few PSU fans we'd force the end of the moniker. But we don't have any as far as I know.

I'm thinking we should allow it for a bit longer. But if it keeps creeping up during the Football season make it clear to drop it?

Just something I was thinking about with the news today and seeing the phrase Ped State popping up here and there.

I don't see it as being any different than the retards that refer to Michigan as scUM, and we do nothing about it.

I agree and disagree.

I think there is some friendly ribbing that we naturally allow between OSU and UM. OSU calls UM scUM. OSU has received some O$U or the new thing of calling OSU Ohio to try to disrespect the institution a bit.

Calling PSU Ped State however is to specifically bring up certain ideas that aren't necessarily in a rivalry, jabbing at each other way.

I'm just bringing this up for discussion.

I'm inclined to let it go. Some people will take it over the top, but then again, Penn State turned a blind eye while kids got molested, so a bit of shaming is probably fair. Just my 2c.
