Went to play my game and right before I started the PS3 turned itself off and now the red light is flashing. A quick Google search for "PS3 Flashing Redlight" has me worried.
Has this happened to anybody and what did you do?
I left it off for 10 minutes and tried to power is back on and it went green and fired up only to beep and go back to flashing red within a couple seconds.

Gentlemen, it has been a pleasure. It looks like I will be out of the dynasty. From what I have been reading this red light issue is a killer. Probably not going to replace it anytime soon unless I stumble upon a great deal.
Kind of ridiculous that I got out my original NES that was made in the late 80's and popped in Blades of Steel and Tecmo Super Bowl and they both fired up 1st push but my PS3 that I got in 2007 dies in 2012.
Anyone know where I can sell this heap for parts?

Near three year old, 5 month old, work afternoons and don't get home until around 1am. Get 3 year old up and off to daycare in the morning, babysit 5 month old until work.... Oh yeah, don't forget two 12 week old puppies.
That's not even taking care of house, picking toys up, doing books, dishes, etc... That's everyday routine, not even including the busy holiday run around...
