Would it be easier to just move the thread and let them get all of the retard out this evening in the basement?

I looked up in the system and like_that has no previous warnings.

This infraction has been reversed.

Reason:
No previous warning

I feel like a few of the infractions given out in that thread were probably a little ticky tacky.

Gotcha. I still had to reverse it since there was no previous warning.

dlazz sent me a pm the other day asking if his was justified. Looking just the one post I thought no, but I see he had been warned previously. I think on threads in the pro sports forum that we know are going to bring out the dick head in people we use the thread ban feature instead of infractions.

Basically, while I want to make the site more attractive for new members I also want to make sure we don't drive off our current members. Anyone disagree with where I am going here?

I feel like given how bad it got, we should probably stop erring on the no infraction side for a bit here. Being a mild hardass won't drive anyone off but relatives of sleeper and like_that

Also, thread ban still does not appear to have a 100% success rate

Yes, because by driving off a few of the current members, it will attract many more new members. Lose one gain many.

It's weird. It works every time I did it. It works when se-alum did it and he's not a super mod. I would think everyone would be able to use it.

I like the characters we have but people seriously act like children. People need to learn to leverage the basement for their butthurt rants, I think. I'd rather move people/posts/threads into the basement and keep legitimate conversation on the normal forums than start infracting people like crazy. But maybe that's just me.

This is basically my thought as well.

It worked once for me w/ sleeper, but didn't work with etb when I tried it.

Also, there are certain members that add nothing, and would be better off gone. Sleeper, SoS, and Isadore to name a few. I have no idea how sleeper has made it this long without being put in the Basement.

It has been good to see some old posters come back though.

It said he had a warning already. That's why the infraction was given. Same with all of the ones I gave out
