Wasn't it along the lines of (1) Dan no-heighted the pole vault in the trials decathlon and didn't make the Olympics and (2) Dave barely even medaled? Or something like that.

Volleyball is one of the more interesting sports to watch, IMO. With that said, it's incredibly irritating how the chicks celebrate after EVERY point. Anyone catch the USA - Brazil match just now? Some of the Brazil players were running/jumping around like they won something when really they just taken like a 19-18 lead and were still trailing 2 matches to none. I understand trying to rally your team and what not, but shut the fuck up.

That goes on at all the levels and yeah...it is flippin annoying. KInda like how teammates would go up to the shooter after every attempt. I think they kinda curbed that a little bit but you used to see it alot after every FT>

They're women...what do you expect? Like when the gymnasts give each other the cursory fake hug after every event. So fakey...they know they competing against each other for millions in endorsements back in the States and thats why you get such idiocy from the parents like you got last night. The basically hate each other truth be known. Same as Lochte and Phelps they hope each other drowns.

As a former swimmer I can easily say I never liked diving. I knew some good guys and girls that were divers. But the sport I hate. I generally don't like a sport that is only "judged" to determine who wins. I hated the fact that it is paired with swimming. I was always annoyed in HS or college when half way through the meet we had to stop, lane lines were moved, 30 minute interlude of divers, then we have to warm up again to get ready to swim. The only thing the two sports have in common is the fact you end up in the water. Why not pair track and field and gymnastics as both are done on dry land.

I'm not dissing the people themselves. What they do is incredibly difficult and they are certainly talented. I just personally don't like the "sport" at all.

I don't know, I use to really like volleyball back when Karch Kiraly and Sinjin Smith dominated. The amount of ground they cover is amazing. I even like the indoor vball, but it's one of those sports I'll only watch if the US is contending.
